Piera Lomedico and a group of people from Savannah, Georgia asked all their friends and families to donate items that they no longer use or need for a huge yard sale. All the proceeds support Panzi Hospital for rape victims and Spay/Panama for the spay/neuter program Spay/Panamá
utilizará la donación para sufragar parte de los costos
de la campaña de esterilizaciones en Santiago de Veraguas, el
20-21 de junio de 2009.

Click to see how you can help Hello Everyone,
I am very happy to announce that we, Lucy, Cheryl, Melissa, Nicole, Johnny,
Ashley, Edie, and myself, had a successful and fun time during the March 28,
Spay Panama's Animals YES & The Panzi Project Yardsale/Bake-sale. Our gross
profit (minus $100 for supplies for the DOGWASH Fundraiser in
May) was, $861.10!!!! Included in that amount was a $25 dollar donation from
Mrs. Michelle Armstrong. This amount will be divided between these two
wonderful organizations, we will send a check via mail as soon as
possible.
With an early morning start, 6 am, we packed 6 truck loads filled with
donations from local Savannah people. We packed everything from children's
clothes, to shower curtains. Nicole and Johnny baked MANY delicious cupcakes,
brownies, and even doggie treats. No one could pass up the different flavored
cupcakes and honey/oat doggie treats.
We were all on our toes, from sunrise until 2:00pm. Cheryl and Melissa did
a great job during the chaotic check-out, calculating, bagging, calculating,
bagging. While Lucy answered many questions from our customers, in spanish and
in english, is that not great customer service. Thank goodness for Johnny and
Ashley, they were our handy men, assisting with the more heavier objects.
Nicole's tasty treats were literally selling like hot cakes, a lady even came
back to the yardsale/bake-sale, to buy a dozen of the cupcakes.
We were all tired by the end, but when we counted all of the money, we felt
goooooddddd........ Our expectations were met, times two.....
We enjoyed every minute of the fundraiser, and hopefully we can make this
annual event. Thanks again to all of the volunteers who donated items, and
their time for a good cause. See you all at the DOG WASH.
I am attaching some pictures, so you can experience our past
Saturday.......
Thanks again and God Bless,
Piera LoMedico
