Adoptions Projects Financial Statements Donate Contact us Pet Memorial	Up to now, the work of Spay/Panama had been 'reactive' to the existing problems of over population of cats and dogs. In Pedasi, the work was 'proactive' to avoid the misery and unnecessary death of abandoned animals. On January 11, 2009, 148 animals in Pedasi, Peninsula de Azuero, were sterilized, dewormed, had their ears cleaned, sprayed for fleas and ticks, given a shot of vitamins and the dogs were vaccinated against rabies. Not one case of TVT was encountered and all the animals were quite healthy.
