Having done 18 blitzes in 2010, the team had decided to take a rest in December -- not because we were tired but because we did not have funds to buy the required surgical supplies to do more. At most of the blitzes we collect less than 15% of our costs, not including the cost of transporting the staff and the equipment and the food and all the miscellaneous expenses.
Kathy McGovern from El Valle contacted us for an urgent blitz. Kathy committed in contributing for each spay/neuter; this was a golden opportunity to get the funds to buy more supplies.
96 dogs and 23 cats were sterilized, dewormed, vaccinated against rabies, had their ears cleaned and injected with vitamins.
