SORA
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Residents
of Sorá, Altos de María and neighboring areas got
together to coordinate and sponsor a sterilization blitz. 103
dogs and 9 cats were sterilized, dewormed, vaccinated against
rabies, ears cleaned, dusted with flea & tick powder and given an
injection of vitamins on Sunday, January 28, 2007.
 
Special
thanks to Empresas Melo for the ivermectin, vitamins and rabies
vaccines; Barbara Franzen for her donation and delicious fruit plate
and sandwiches; Ed McAleer for transporting the operating tables and
surgical lamps, letting us stay at his spectacular house and for
the great barbecue; Maria Esther from the association Porque Me
Importan for assisting in all phases; and a very special thanks to
Dusty and Mary Rhodes for sponsoring the bulk of the sterilizations and
transporting the boxes of medical supplies; Mary was the driving force
that made the blitz a reality. Many thanks to those that provided the
water and sodas and to all our caring "taxis". Un

Everybody worked long and exhausting hours. Todos trabajaron largas y cansadas horas.    What a great satisfaction we were able to improve the lives of 112 pets and their guardians. Que gran satisfacción que pudimos mejorar las vidas de 112 mascotas y sus guardianes.
