The sterilization effort was able to move further into remote areas at the Atlantic
Coast. On April 12-13, 2008, 123
animals were sterilized in Palenque, bringing the total to 492 thanks to the
generous grant of D. Reuben and the MRF (anonymous). La

and Ernesto were scheduled to leave the next day, unfortunately Marlen
got sick that night and had to leave too. Daniel

On
Sunday, April 13, 2008, Dr. Raquel and Rebeca arrived; Dr. Rene did not
come because he got sick with what we thought was his second bout of
dengue, luckily it was only a bad cold. El

other half slept on the floor of the operating area. The next
blitz to the Atlantic coast is scheduled for June-July. Sara
