PANAMA ATLANTIC COAST (Isla Grande, Portobello, La Guaira) On
November 17-19, 2007, Spay/Panama operated, dewormed, vaccinated,
cleaned the ears, dusted with flea powder and gave an injection of
vitamins to 166 animals from Isla Grande, La Guaira, Portobello, Puerto
Lindo and neighboring communities; in addition to the 115 operations previously made in Maria Chiquita. El
17-19 de noviembre de 2007, Spay/Panama operó,
desparasitó, vacunó, limpió las orejitas, puso
polvo Bolfo y dio una inyección de vitaminas a 166 animales de
Isla Grande, La Guaira, Portobelo, Puerto Lindo y comunidades vecinas;
en adición a los 115 operaciones que se hicieron en Maria
Chiquita.
This was possible thanks to the coordination of Olga, Alina and Dr. Vielka. A special thanks to Dr. Alfonso De Leon and Dr. Damaris Contreras of the Health Ministry, who were very helpful in getting all the authorizations and rabies vaccines. We will be back thanks to an unexpected help from D. Reuben and from somebody very dear to us who has asked us to keep her anonymous. The next blitz will be held in Portobello on December 15, 2007.  Equipment and surgical supplies were transported by car and by boat the day before to the blitz. El equipo e insumos quirurgicos fueron transportados por carro y bote un dia antes de la campaña.          Five vets: Dr. Rene, Dr. Letty, Dr. Raquel, Dr. Darrell and Dr. Cathy from WoldVets, who flew especially to participate in the blitz.  All the equipment were moved the night before the operations from Isla Grande to La Guaira by boat. Todo el equipo se movió la noche anterior a la campaña de Isla Grande a La Guaira.           Work, work, work Trabajo, trabajo, trabajo  Few minutes to recharge. Unos minutos para recargar  My dog. Mi perrita. PORTOBELLO   Slept in Isla Grande and left early morning to Portobello. TAXI    Everybody works really hard. Todos trabajan arduamente  The animals come from many neighboring communities, transported by the Ministry of Health and Police cars. Los niños son los mejores voceros de las campañas de esterilizaciones.   After the blitz, still more animals to be fixed. Next blitz is scheduled for December 15, 2007.
